Seymour Cray 希穆尔·罗杰·克雷，美国电气工程师和超级电脑设计师，被喻为“超级电脑之父”。他曾设计了一系列的超级计算机，创立了克雷研究公司，被公认为是超级电脑领域的创始人。
曾任惠普首席技术官的乔尔·伯恩鲍姆这样评价克雷：“克雷对超级计算机行业的发展功不可没。现在高性能计算机的许多功能在克雷那个时代看来都是不可思议的，而克雷却能在当时将高性能计算机构想出来。”[1] 曾任美国伊利诺大学国家超级电脑应用中心总监的拉里·斯马说道：“他（克雷）是超级计算领域的托马斯·爱迪生。”[注 1]
