努查努阿特語，舊稱努特卡語^[1]^[2]，是太平洋西北地區美洲原住民努查努阿特人使用的語言^[3] ^[4] 。

簡介

努查努阿特語是最早獲得文獻記錄的太平洋西北地區原住民語言。許多歐洲探險家在和努查努阿特人的毛皮貿易過程中對於努查努阿特語言做過簡要記錄。

在1803年至1805年，英國人約翰·傑威特所乘商船被努查努阿特人襲擊，他被擄走淪為奴隸，為奴三年。重獲自由後，傑威特在自己的回憶錄中提供了一份簡單的努查努阿特語詞彙表。

努查努阿特語有35種輔音。

咽音源於小舌音的合併。/ħ/是/χ/和/χʷ/合併而來；/ʕ/是/qʼ/和/qʷʼ/由合併而來。這些組件在努查努阿特語中已是十分罕見，甚至消失。

中元音 [ɛː] 和 [ɔː] 出現在呼格和儀式用語中。[ə] 是元音 /a/ 在聲門音化響音後的一個可能變體。

在聲門音化響音、擠喉音化輔音和咽音影響下，元音可能發生類似於嘎裂聲的喉音化。

音節的權重決定重音之所在，短元音後接的非聲門音化輔音和長元音發生重讀。若詞彙沒有重音節或只有重音節，則重讀第一個音節。

除了對立的長短音，傳統上有一組長短不定的元音，在詞彙的頭兩個音節是長音；在其他位置是短音。

努查努阿特語的書寫體系建基於拉丁字母。
